Imagine you're at a blackboard, counting votes in a meeting. You probably count in groups of five, making four vertical lines and then "finishing" the group by drawing a diagonal line through them. Instead. you should count in groups of ten, by first marking four dots to make the corners of a box, and then connecting each pair of dots.
